EIHL: Cardiff forza sette, primo successo per lo Sheffield di Barrasso

Dopo la batosta di sabato contro il Cardiff, finalmente ieri, domenica 21 ottobre, è arrivata la prima vittoria dello Sheffield di Tom Barrasso. A farne le spese il Manchester, 4 a 3 il risultato. Il Cardiff dopo aver rifilato, come già anticipato, sette reti agli Steelers ne ha fatti altrettanti al Fife. Eroe di giornata l’ex asiaghese Bentivoglio autore di quattro punti (2+2). Il Nottingham dopo due sconfitte, venerdì contro il Glasgow e sabato contro il Fife, è tornato al successo domenica contro il Dundee; mentre per i Giants sono arrivate due vittorie contro il MK Lightning e una sconfitta contro il Guildford. Nell’unica partita in questo weekend valevole per la coppa il MK Lightning hanno sconfitto il Coventry 2 a 1.

In classifica generale di Campionato il Nottingham guida a 18 punti davanti al Fife, 17, e alla coppia Cardiff e Belfast, 16. In Challenge Cup sono Sheffield, Belfast e Cardiff a guidare i tre gruppi.
