Mondiali IIHF: assegnati quelli del 2021, i dettagli

Il Congresso della IIHF ha assegnato i Mondiali 2021.

I delegati hanno inoltre confermato lo slittamento il torneo Top Division di Minsk e Riga dal 21 maggio al 6 giugno 2021.
Il Campionato mondiale femminile si svolgerà ad Halifax e Truro dove era stato programmato la scorsa primavera prima della cancellazione. Le date proposte sono il 7-17 aprile 2021. Allo stesso modo, il Mondiale U18 si svolgerà a Plymouth e Ann Arbor, Michigan, Stati Uniti, negli stessi luoghi previsti per quest’anno prima della cancellazione a causa della pandemia. Le date proposte sono il 15-25 aprile 2021. Il Campionato mondiale femminile U18 sarà ospitato dalla Svezia nelle città di Linkoping e Mjolby dal 5 al 12 gennaio 2021.

Nelle divisioni inferiori la maggior parte dei tornei maschili, femminili e under 18 in programma nella primavera del 2020 si disputeranno negli stessi luoghi nel 2021. Unica eccezione due tornei che verranno utilizzati anche come test olimpici. La Divisione II Gruppo A maschile e la Divisione I Gruppo B femminile.
